ProfHacks – Spring 2016

ProfHacks was Rowan University’s first large hackathon and took place during March of 2016.

I participated in ProfHacks with my teammates Dontai Lauren O’Brien, Jatin Bhakta, and Paul Bayruns. We learned how to interface with the Oculus DevKit 2 and LeapMotion hand sensor to sense users’ hands in virtual reality (using the Unity game engine).

We created a short demo where users could record a multitude of static hand gestures and bind them to various controls in-game, such as shooting fireballs, activating a shield on that hand, or holding a sword!
